Robyn Mancell: Teaching You How To Trade Like A Girl With “Girls Gone Forex” Posted on April 19, 2018January 25, 2021 By Dangerous Lee Girls Gone Forex – Learn To “Trade Like A Girl” My name is Robyn Mancell and I am the co-founder of Girls Gone Forex where we teach women to trade in the Forex/foreign exchange market. We are the only female and Black owned online education company teaching Forex trading. We also have designed and own an automated trading platform called ALGIRLRITHM. We started our company in 2017 and have graduated over 100 women in our TRADE LIKE A GIRL ACADEMY. We have also given out 40 scholarships to deserving women. My business partner, Linda Faye, has been trading over 15 years. She lives in Dallas and I am the CMO and Mindset coach. Building Generational Wealth By Investing Just like many of us in the Black community, I was never taught about money or investing. I’ve been working since I was 16 years old and never had a problem getting a job but other than the company 401k, learning to be in control of my money was not a topic of discussion. Three years ago, I met a female investor who had become rich day trading. Twenty years ago, she was the only woman in a class she paid $12,000 to attend. She said I could make a huge impact in my community by teaching women to trade. The reason she was so passionate about trading is because it required no special skills, education and very little money to get started. All that is needed is a computer and internet access. Once trained, you could trade anywhere in the world. I knew this was a game changer, however I didn’t know how to trade. That didn’t stop me, I started telling everyone how I felt this was an opportunity for people to have options in making money and to learn something that no one could take from them. During a meeting in Dallas TX, I met a woman who had been trading for 15 years. A year later, we ran a contest on Facebook and gave 15 women scholarships to our school TRADE LIKE A GIRL ACADEMY. Robyn (left) and Linda (right) The Forex Market vs New York Stock Exchange We are so passionate about helping women have options with their finances and to pass this knowledge to their children. Access to information is a great asset because you don’t know what you don’t know. Studies show that women actually make better traders than me. Our ladies are proving that given the opportunity, we can have a seat at the table. The Forex Market has an average daily trading volume of over 5.4 trillion dollars which is 50 times larger than the New York Stock Exchange. Unlike the stock market, Forex is open 24 hours a day 5 days a week. The fact that you only need internet access and a computer gives women the ability to enjoy the laptop lifestyle anywhere in the world. We destroy the myth that day trading is risky by emphasizing risk management and mindset classes are a big part of our course. Girls Gone Forex is comprised of three subsidiaries: Trade Like A Girl Foundation, Trade Like A Girl Academy and Invest Like Her. Trade Like A Girl Foundation is registered as a nonprofit corporation in the State of Texas for the purpose of educating and empowering disadvantaged women of all ages, races, backgrounds and socioeconomic status globally with the knowledge, skills, mindset and technology necessary to excel in the financial markets. Trade Like A Girl Academy is the education component of GGFX. It consists of a proprietary curriculum and Forex training program designed to turn a student with zero knowledge of the Forex markets into a disciplined Forex trader or investor. Invest Like Her provides students additional tools, information and education in alternative investments and finance that can improve their financial literacy, sustainability and status.
