Need CBD Products For You and Your Dog? Zona Naturals Has You Both Covered! Posted on August 6, 2020November 24, 2022 By Dangerous Lee Zona Naturals is a Black woman-owned CBD business offering products for you and your dog. And, they’re the first Black-owned company to do so! CBD dog treats are the latest trend for dog owners wanting to treat dogs who suffer from chronic pain, anxiety, seizures, inflammation and a host of other problems. CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound extracted from the industrial hemp plant. It’s a naturally occurring substance that’s used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol(THC), which is the major active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive. Ezzy Ogbechie DL: How and why did you get into the CBD business? Ezzy Ogbechie: The first time I heard of CBD was when the Chief Medical Respondent for CNN, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, made a presentation on Charlotte Figi. Charlotte was suffering from crippling seizures every few minutes, however she was able to keep her symptoms at bay by using CBD for many years. It was a truly emotional, gripping and inspiring story, and from that day I decided to look deeper into CBD. Whilst doing this research, my son, Malobi, reached out to me claiming that he was having some success reselling other CBD brands. We spoke about it at length and decided just a month after viewing this program that we would create our own CBD brand to help children like Charlotte and others suffering from chronic pain and anxiety disorders. DL: What do you feel are the biggest misconceptions about CBD products? Ezzy Ogbechie: One of the biggest misconceptions about CBD from my experience is that most people think it will get you high. This is not the case as most CBD products contain less than 0.3% THC, with THC being the psychoactive component in the cannabis sativa plant. It’s relationship to marijuana can put off some first timers, but once they try it, those preconceptions go out the window. DL: What are your most popular CBD products? Ezzy Ogbechie: Our two most popular CBD products are the CBD Oil Tincture and our CBD Gummies. Both are great for people trying CBD for the first time. The CBD Oil Tincture is sublingual and it’s very easy to control the dosage. All you need is a couple of drops under the tongue and you should be good for the day. Our gummies taste great and we have a lot of repeat customers for this product. Honestly we love the work we are doing especially when the reviews come in. We often have customers telling us that ours is the best CBD product they have tried. The other day a customer told us he hasn’t slept so well in 15 years! DL: Do CBD products for pets work in the same way that CBD products forhumans do? Ezzy Ogbechie: Yes they do indeed. Dogs get anxiety and others suffer from chronic pain and CBD is a great remedy for those conditions. Without getting too technical, the CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system which is responsible for regulating the immune system and major organs in the human body. The great news is this ECS system exists in dogs too! We have a regular customer that buys the CBD dog treats for her 5 pound chihuahua. Her pooch loves it!
