Movie Review: Red Riding Hood Posted on July 22, 2011March 8, 2021 By Dangerous Lee Whenever Gary Oldman is in a film, it’s sure to be a little bit odd. Red Riding Hood has unwanted arranged marriages, half-sibling incest, and women lying about their babies daddy mixed in with The Big Bad Wolf and Grandma. Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the Twilight Series is also the director of this film and Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the producers, but don’t let that give you the impression that it’s a great film. Red Riding Hood isn’t horrible and it isn’t great, it’s mediocre. We are led to believe that grandma is the Big Bad Wolf many times throughout the film, so it definitely keeps you guessing and surprised until the end, but don’t expect to be blown away.
