In Get Rid of Your Stupid List!, she presents a series of principles she has adopted in order to change her way of thinking and behavior in order to achieve different results. Adams breaks down the various factors that have kept her and other women single, and she shares dating tips that helped her make better choices and life lessons she learned on her dating journey. “The book was written to encourage, motivate, and help you reflect on your decisions when it comes to dating,” says Adams. “ Based on one woman’s personal experiences, this guide seeks to help you change the way you see relationships, men, and yourself.” Excerpt from Get Rid of Your Stupid List! – Seven Reasons You Are Successful and Still Single The beginning of trying to mend my broken marriage should have started a long time ago. I decided to book a seven-day cruise vacation that fell on our sixth wedding anniversary. The purpose of the vacation was to rekindle the fire that went out in our marriage. I made the mistake of asking my husband at the time whether he was happy on our anniversary. The response I got was not what I expected or one that I wanted to hear. His response – “I haven’t been happy the past five years and I only stayed married to you this long because we have kids together” – crushed my soul, heart and spirit, all at the same time. All I could do was cry and wonder, “What just happened? Did he just tell me that? Now what do I do? What do I do with this information?” About the Author T.L. Adams is a divorced single mom of two children. She currently lives in Dallas. Adams holds a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in counseling.
