“Keep Your Panties Up and Your Skirt Down” is a guide to exciting safe sex. Through the six tales contained in this book you will be entertained, educated, and eroticized.
The title of the book are words my grandmother said to me and her other granddaughters when we were growing up as a warning to not have sex. After all, if you’re not equipped with the knowledge of the bad things that can happen when you have good sex you should not be having sex. This book is dedicated to her memory.
Working in HIV prevention I have learned a lot and I have had the pleasure of sharing my knowledge with thousands of people. With this book I want to reach millions more, not simply for fame and fortune but because millions of people lack the need to know information contained in the pages of this book.
People aged 13-24 have the highest new HIV infection rates and African Americans and Latinos have the highest infection rates in the United States. I equate a huge chunk of this problem with the lack of prevention education and sex education in our schools. Abstinence only programs do us no good. Abstinence is fine, but we must also educate ourselves and our babies with the proper information so that when they’re ready to get busy they can do it safely.
We must keep it real when we discuss sex and inside the pages of “Keep Your Panties Up and Your Skirt Down” I get real nasty, real sexy, real deep, and speak the real truth about HIV.
In the coming weeks I will reveal a sneak peek of the story “An Honest Ho”. Many of you may be familiar with this story as some of you have helped contribute your ideas for the name of the main character and the club she hangs out in.
I am also working with a great team to make sure the book cover is hot because no matter what anyone says a book is judged by its cover, and because I am self publishing I want it to be able to hang on the shelves with the big dawgs.
“Keep Your Panties Up and Your Skirt Down” is an important and very scary endeavor for me. After attempting to get the attention of major publishing houses for more than two years I am doing it my way. Writing is my passion and I am also very passionate about HIV prevention.
I have spent countless hours educating myself on the many aspects of self publishing such as marketing, sponsorships, partnerships, promotions, and the dos and donts of the entire publishing process.
We’ve all seen the crazy headlines where some White person has gone bananas on some random Black person and President Obama’s threat rate is up to 400%. Sure, it’s great that we live in a world where a Black man is finally running thangs, but are we better off for it?
There are not words to describe how much I thank you for lending your immense talent to “Son of Barack”. I did not lie to you when I told you that you were the prototype for Melanie when I began writing the script. You are an extremely talented, seamless actress, and it was a pleasure watching you work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Before Barack Obama became President it was always asked if America was ready for a Black President. I wanna know if we were ready for Taco Bell’s nasty ass lookin’ Black Jack taco.
Is Dangerous Lee your real name? Do you really think that a mother would do that to her child? Or perhaps you think I had it changed legally? No, Dangerous Lee is not my real name. If we ever meet I will probably share my birth name with you. It’s not a secret, but I don’t offer it out willy nilly either.
What makes you Dangerous? I hate this questionwith a passion. There are many things that make me Dangerous. It depends on my mood, the situation, or who I am dealing with. We’re all Dangerous in many ways and being Dangerous can be a good or bad thing in my definition.
How did you get the name Dangerous Lee? I gave the name to myself. It spawned from a combination of things. Dangerous Lee is a play on my real name and the word “Dangerously”. Dangerous is my favorite Michael Jackson album. I also enjoy the movie Johnny Dangerously, but most of all I simply feel the name suits me.
How Dangerous are you? Again, it depends on the situation, what mood I’m in, and who I am dealing with. It varies. Getting to know me personally is the only way you’ll truly find out.
What do you do? I hate this question as well because if you take the time to browse my website the answers are right in front of you. First and foremost I am a writer. I am also an activist, actor, painter, internet radio personality, and last but definitely not least a mother.
