5 Ways to Rock Bling This Fall

5 Ways to Rock Bling This Fall

I don’t know about you, but most women I know cannot get enough glam in their closets. Even though we’re not celebrities, most of us want to look like one. Don’t we?

Watching what’s on the runway and in fashion magazines is a ideal place to get some fun ideas about what’s in and what’s out.

According to Ice Fashion Trends, here are the 5 top celebrity styles for Fall :

•Gold—Put the silver away, girls. Gold is classic, luxuriant, and totally elegant. And you don’t need to be rich to wear it. Here’s how to look like Kim Kardashian (minus Kanye West ) when you go out for the evening. Buy unique gold necklaces from Kohl’s, TJ Max, or second hand stores and layer four or five of them with your outfit. The chains can be completely different. It doesn’t matter. The uneven lengths add excitement and interest to the entire look.

•Statement Pieces—Remember the 80s when more was never enough and Madonna’s hair-sprayed hair, gold crosses, and cherry red lipstick took up the entire TV screen? In 2012, nothing much has changed. If you want to make a statement, you cannot be fearful to wear long chandelier earrings, massive rings, and bulky colorful pendants. Stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe, is on the band wagon with volume, too, debuting statement pieces such as vintage inspired crystal covered cocktail rings, square drop earrings, tassel pendent necklaces, and art deco rings. Every piece is uniquely exceptional.

•Layer Your Jewelry—Purchase long and short necklaces to layer with your clothing. I suggest that you wear several different lengths with your tops and dresses. This adds depth and richness for a night out on the town with girlfriends. And if it’s done correctly, you can carry the same look out at work, but make sure it’s not too showy or gaudy. Layered bangles are also quite chic. The more bangles, the better. These too, can be in several diverse colors, styles, and shapes.

•Colored Diamonds—Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, and Helen Mirren were dripping colored diamonds at last years Oscars. Yes. Of course, the diamonds were genuine and ridiculously expensive, but If you’re like most people and it’s not in your budget to buy the real deal, get some fake ones. They sell inexpensively at every women’s boutique in the country at the moment.

•Nature Inspired Jewelry—Tangerine, emerald, and crystal are the most fashionable colors for Autumn. I absolutely adore pop icon, Lady Gaga’s new collection featuring six Swarovski crystal necklaces. Each one has an ethnic, funky exterior. The collection is spilling over with luxury, but what else would you expect from Gaga?

You don’t need to be a celebrity to look like one. So why not utilize some of these tips to transform ordinary into extraordinary.

Movie Review: Water For Elephants

Movie Review: Water For Elephants

This film stars Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame and Reese Witherspoon. I was happily surprised at how touching and great this movie was. I didn’t know what to expect, but I’d have to say it’s a combination of The Notebook, Titanic, and Michael Jackson’s Neverland all rolled into one!

I have to admit that Reese Witherspoon was not very convincing as a circus act, but she did her best. I am also happy to see that Robert Pattinson’s range can go beyond a blood sucking vampire, but there’s this thing he does with his mouth that drives me nuts; in a bad way.

Water For Elephants deals with loss, love, pain, abuse, karma, and The Greatest Show on Earth. You won’t look at the circus the same after watching!

Reese Witherspoon Complains About Single Parenthood

Reese Witherspoon Complains About Single Parenthood

In the latest issue of Marie Claire, the newly re-married Reese Witherspoon states, “I feel so much relief. I don’t think I realized how stressed I was being a single parent. It was really, really stressful. It’s not easy on anybody.” Being a single parent is stressful as hell, but one would think that Ryan Phillippe, actor and the father of her two children, would have offered some support. Also, she can afford the best help in the world, so what the hell was she so stressed about? Don’t get me wrong, I am a single parent, but the father of my child is not in our lives and I certainly can’t afford a nanny, though I don’t need or want one. Perhaps I just need to check myself; I suppose being a single parent regardless of your circumstances is a difficult job. What are your thoughts?
