Movie Review: Water For Elephants

This film stars Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame and Reese Witherspoon. I was happily surprised at how touching and great this movie was. I didn’t know what to expect, but I’d have to say it’s a combination of The Notebook, Titanic, and Michael Jackson’s Neverland all rolled into one!

I have to admit that Reese Witherspoon was not very convincing as a circus act, but she did her best. I am also happy to see that Robert Pattinson’s range can go beyond a blood sucking vampire, but there’s this thing he does with his mouth that drives me nuts; in a bad way.

Water For Elephants deals with loss, love, pain, abuse, karma, and The Greatest Show on Earth. You won’t look at the circus the same after watching!

Reese Witherspoon Complains About Single Parenthood

In the latest issue of Marie Claire, the newly re-married Reese Witherspoon states, “I feel so much relief. I don’t think I realized how stressed I was being a single parent. It was really, really stressful. It’s not easy on anybody.” Being a single parent is stressful as hell, but one would think that Ryan Phillippe, actor and the father of her two children, would have offered some support. Also, she can afford the best help in the world, so what the hell was she so stressed about? Don’t get me wrong, I am a single parent, but the father of my child is not in our lives and I certainly can’t afford a nanny, though I don’t need or want one. Perhaps I just need to check myself; I suppose being a single parent regardless of your circumstances is a difficult job. What are your thoughts?
