Roman Debotch: Sharing Empowering Stories at BlackExcellence.com Posted on April 19, 2018April 8, 2020 By Dangerous Lee When One Passion Collides With Another Since I can remember, I have always been fascinated by the power of media and stories to shape the way we think and look at the world. My life has been consumed by seeking out powerful and amusing stories through books, movies, documentaries, podcasts, and good old conversations with people I meet everyday. Although I didn’t know exactly how I would accomplish it, I knew that my life’s mission revolves around media and stories. That’s how I found my way to blackexcellence.com. I started blackexcellence.com with the intent to share noteworthy, empowering, and thought provoking stories in the global black community. In this venture, the passion I have for stories has collided with the passion I have for Black issues around the world. Live in Excellence. Everyday. Although we seek out stories to feature on our website, we often get approached by our audience with stories they want to tell, whether it’s a commentary they have on a hot issue in the community, a personal experience they think will empower others, or a great cause they want to promote. What we shy away from is gossip, celebrity talk for the sake of celebrity, and negativity. Our mission is to empower us to live our lives in excellence, everyday. That might mean learning how housing policies have historically kept Black people from home ownership. Or it might mean learning about the hottest style trends for the summer so it inspires you to look your best. Or it might mean learning about how an entrepreneur set out to start a tech company, a world dominated by young white males, in her 40s. Our audience gets to decide what inspiration to take from the stories, we just provide the platform. Connect With Us! We would love to hear your empowering and noteworthy story! Here is how you can connect with us.
