New company’s line of leggings already a hit with consumers.

What is the #1 complaint of tall women standing 5’10” and above? According to Belinda Mays, it is that most retail outlets do not adequately provide quality and stylish clothing for the long-legged female shopper. Until now, Belani Knox, based in the Atlanta metro area, is promising to end the frustration associated with shopping while tall.

“Standing 5’10” tall myself, one thing that became very clear to me at an early age was that the fashion world loves to use tall girls to promote fashion. However, when those clothes got manufactured and returned to market, they did not fit my frame,” says owner and Chief Tall Chick in Charge, Belinda Mays.

Quite simply, I’ve dealt with flood buster pants all my life, and that’s why I decided to start this business,” she jokes. “Casual fashion has moved toward athleisure wear and that’s why we launched with leggings. Our leggings are ‘fun’ctional, fashionable, made of quality fabrics which are fade resistant, won’t shrink, and are super soft. What we’re offering our customer is exactly what they need, a longer inseam. Currently our in-stock items will fit an inseam of up to 36″, but we do have the ability to go longer with custom orders. With our leggings, our customers will now be able to confidently shop while tall, knowing that they don’t have to wear our pants on their hips or unhem them in order for them to fit properly,” says Belinda.

Belani Knox is an e-commerce boutique and currently manufactures their leggings in New York City and hopes to expand their line in the coming year to include new styles of leggings, sweatshirts, tees/tanks, and other athleisure items.
