Why Adult Toys Are No Longer Solely Aimed At The Female Market

For the last few decades the sex toy industry has been firmly aimed at women and today it’s not unusual for ladies to have at least one or two sex toys in their homes or to talk freely about their not-so-secret purchases with their friends.

However, until recently, the idea of men using sex toys has had somewhat of a stigma attached to it and it was a rare man who would admit that he’d used male sex toys, either alone or with a partner. But all that looks set to change as sales of make sex accessories reach record highs and more and more men get turned on at the idea of experimenting a little.

The New Sexuality

The last few years have seen a sea change in the general attitude towards sexuality and thanks in part to books like 50 Shades of Grey, discussing and exploring sexuality has become a lot more acceptable.

Women are able to brazenly ask for what they want in the bedroom and those without partners feel able to enjoy themselves alone.

Whilst women have been snapping up erotic fiction in their droves, men have been beginning to explore the world of sex toys.

Now it’s not unusual for men to have their own cache of sex accessories and things that were once taboo, like prostate stimulation or submissive role play are now much more widely acceptable.

Amongst the most popular toys and accessories currently being purchased by men in the UK are:

The Fleshlight

Many men find this flesh-like item highly erotic. Shaped like a flash light, instead of batteries the toy contains textured pink silicone designed to enhance pleasure and increase stamina. You can even find fleshlights that vibrate electronically. The fleshlight is a cost effective and safe alternative to sex that avoids unwanted pregnancy or STDs.

The Cock Ring

This ancient invention was first used by the Chinese more than 2000 years ago and can be made from wood, plastic, leather or metal. It sits at the base of the member and affects blood flow which can help sustain an erection and make the sexual experience more intense.

Lube is one of the cheapest yet one of the most effective sex accessories to try. It can completely change the erotic experience for men whether they’re with a partner or alone and different lubes can produce different effects, such as those designed to warm, cool or give a tingling sensation. If you’re planning on using condoms with lube make sure they’re suitable as some lubes can damage latex.

Sex Dolls

Super-realistic sex dolls have been around for a while but recent media interest has made them a lot more mainstream and now many trendy collectors with an interest in the erotic are getting their hands on one. The dolls have an eerily lifelike appearance and are entirely anatomically correct, but with prices for new dolls starting at around $1000, it’s a budget busting option.

Urban Winter Fashions – Dos And Donts

Urban Winter Fashions – Dos And Donts

The fact that the weather is cold and gloomy is in no way indicative of acceptable boring outfit selections. Winter is a time to be fashionable and creative. Are you a trendy person living in a busy urban area? Here are some of the biggest dos and dont’s for fashionable cold months.

Brighten Outfits with Splashes of Color

Many people believe that dark colors are the only ones appropriate for the winter. When walking around, you will see a lot of black, brown, grey and beige. There is nothing wrong with being colorful during the winter. A splash of bright color will change the appearance and the “mood” of your outfit. To make the neutral colors more interesting, wear a read coat or a pair of really colorful gloves.

Figure-Flattering Sweaters

Sweaters can be shapeless and horrendous. To be fashionable this winter, choose figure-flattering sweaters. Long sweaters can emphasize your curves, if you put a belt on the narrowest part of your torso. Tight sweaters will look great, as long as you feel confident in such pieces.

Accessorize a Boring Outfit

Accessories are the key to an intriguing winter outfit. During the cold months, you will cover a lot of skin. People will typically see a coat and your trousers or skirt. A large portion of the outfit will remain concealed, while you are walking outside. Use accessories to make the clothes more visually pleasing. Your belt, hat, sunglasses, bag, scarf and gloves should be the statement pieces. It is a great idea to wear your accessories creatively, as well. Learn how to tie a scarf in different ways to make a fashion statement.

Wear a Leather Jacket

The rock and roll appeal of leather jackets will never grow old. If you are interested in that slightly rugged appearance, a leather jacket is the way to go. Make sure that the leather is properly maintained and in good condition. The environmental influences will work against this piece of clothing and you should provide it with the attention that it deserves.

Put On Neon/Bright Colored Tights

Color is great but it has to be incorporated intelligently in the outfit. Neon or bright colored tights will look exceptionally juvenile. There is nothing figure-flattering about such pieces and they will divert attention away from other, more intriguing parts of your outfit.

Wearing Long Coats and Flats

A long coat will create the visual illusion of you being short. The effect will be even stronger if you decide to wear flat boots or shoes. To make a long coat more elegant and flattering, you need to wear it with high-heeled boots or booties.

Tights and Open Toe Shoes – A Big No-No!

Tights are an important part of the winter wardrobe. They will keep you warm and possibly increase the visual appeal of your clothes. Many ladies have started wearing tights and open toe shoes. It may seem like a fashionable idea but this is a major no-no. The peeping part of the tights looks ridiculous and anything but stylish.

Furry Boots

Furry boots look like you have placed a dead animal on your feet. Living in an urban area and having to go to work on a daily basis means that you will soon be wearing a dirty, dead animal. Furry boots will never work. They may seem like a cute and warm idea but they look chubby and improperly maintained.

Adding More Joy to One’s Life

Needless to say, the addition of a new baby as a result of increased sexual activity can definitely prove life changing.

A Movie in the Works

Will the 50 Shades of Grey book soon become a major motion picture? Jelq Wiki an online dating and male enhancement website  believes “This book is huge in America and Australia and a movie will very popular among women”. Currently, Universal/Focus has paid $5 million dollars for the rights to the novel and a film is currently in development. There is not finished script and no specific production date set. However, speculation has been rampant over the casting. Kristen Stewart is mentioned as a possible star to play Ana and Ryan Gosling has been mentioned as a possible lead actor to play Grey. Time will eventually tell when the film is made. Considering the incredible success of the novel, a film adaptation should eventually appear on the horizon.

How to Keep The Sex and Romance Alive in Your Marriage

How to Keep The Sex and Romance Alive in Your Marriage

When you’re first married, it’s easy to think that the toe-curling, electrifying presence of your other half is all you need to keep your marriage sizzling. They walk into the room, and you light up. They rustle up a burnt pizza, and it’s the best thing you’ve ever tasted. However, marriage isn’t always like this, so it’s worth bearing in mind that your bedroom Olympics may well dwindle over time. But how to keep the excitement alive?

Don’t have affairs. In any marriage self-help book, this should be rule number one. It’s very simple – don’t put it about. Yes, you may be tempted to run off to a park with your nubile colleague, but don’t. If things are that bad, take some time out to establish (and sort) the problem, or cut your losses. Affairs make everything tawdry and sad – don’t cheapen yourself, and don’t disrespect your partner.

Remember and recognize that it’s not all about you. So what if your wife doesn’t feel like having sex four times a week? Who cares that your husband is always pawing you when you get out of the shower? You married these people for who they are, not for their stamina (or lack of) between the sheets. As long as you’re both getting along and having sex often enough to keep the cobwebs away, so to speak, you’re fine. Life is hectic enough without taking all the fun out of sex; let it happen when it happens. There’s nothing un-sexier than demanding lovemaking, or saying no because you broke a nail two days ago.

If there’s a problem – talk. Obviously not in the middle of a dinner party or during a play, (‘Can I have a word? You’re being hugely annoying’,) but wherever you can without embarrassing your partner, and other people. It’s always how to try and phrase your complaint in a way that doesn’t invite blame – ‘I feel like you ignore me when you watch our daughter’s netball matches’ is better than ‘You are a filthy old man who shouldn’t be allowed to watch netball’. Talk about how they make you feel, as oposed to making outlandish, potentially rude statements.

Don’t get jealous – they married you, remember? If there’s a woman at their work or a guy at the gym that openly flirts, let them. Trust your partner’s judgement – they’re probably not particularly happy at the unwanted attention either, so don’t add to their stress by accusing them of infidelities and being unkind to them. It’s far classier to let the flirty party get the message and back off on their own. Plus, your partner will love the fact that you’re confident enough to let them do their own thing.

It’s a cliche, but it’s true. Everyone loves a bit of a fuss – so don’t be afraid to pull the stops out every now and then. Get dinner ready before they get home, take them somewhere wonderful on the spur of the moment, dance with them in the garden as the kids watch on, loathing your exhibitionism. Make your partner feel like the most wonderful person in the world, because, let’s face it, they are.

Now, it might not be a good idea to go overboard in this respect, but don’t be scared of trying new things behind closed doors. It’s a fair amount of effort to keep things alive in the bedroom, and nobody is recommending that you do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. Saying that, there’s nothing wrong with reading a bit of 50 Shades of Grey and taking your upstairs upstairs for a bit of afternoon delight. Use your imagination, but please don’t buy any bondage equipment unless you’re absolutely sure you know what to do with it.
