Plan B: Welcome to Hollywood

Up and coming slam and spoken word artist, Plan B, is releasing his breakthrough album “Welcome to Hollywood” July 2011. Jay “Plan B” Price has been writing poetry since his elementary school and performed his first poem at a school talent show at age 13. He has been honing his talent for many years and his dedication to his craft was validated when he took 2nd place in the Flint 500 poetry slam in December 2010. He is also a member of the first Brave New Voices team of Flint, MI and will be performing with the team in San Fransisco, California in July.

Plan B describes his album as, “an unexpected breath of fresh air to the poetry scene”. He has truly poured his heart and soul into his work and the quality reflects that. He has worked with incredible producers such as Flint’s own B. Corder, (who produced the first single “Porcelain Doll”) Arian Muhammed, G.S. The Dream and James Anthony Jones. Collaborations on the album include his work with fellow poets Kirei, Yazzii and Mack.

Meet Plan B at his official black and white CD release party July 14th at the Buckham Art Gallery in downtown Flint. Doors open at 6:30pm and the party begins at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $5 and signed CD’s will be $10!
