Movie Review: Sucker Punch Posted on July 26, 2011June 7, 2021 By Dangerous Lee A sucker punch is described as an unexpected blow. Sucker Punch, the film, is all about women giving men unexpected blows (no pun intended), but the film also seems to be an excuse for women to be sexy badasses. I’m not mad about that fact, but other than that and the exciting visual effects this film doesn’t have much else to offer. The lead character, played by Emily Browning, is forced into a mental institution by her abusive stepfather. She and the other women all imagine they are in this stripper fantasy, video game-like world as a way of coping while they defeat the bad guys and various creatures. What they do in this fantasy world helps them to defeat the real world BS that they are experiencing in the mental institution. Oh! The catch is that Baby doll (Emily Browning), has to perform a sexy and captivating dance that puts everyone who watches in a trance. However, we never get to see an actual dance, but it’s implied several times throughout the film . I got where they were going with this one, but it was just too much. Sucker Punch does attempt to teach us a lesson about sacrifice and something else important about self worth that I can’t quite recall, but most of you men/boys will be content with all the T&A on display that includes Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, and Jamie Chung. Use water based lube and enjoy! Rating: 3 out of 5 stars About Author Dangerous Lee administrator Content Creator and Everythang in Chief of Dangerous Lee Publishing.
