Name and Occupation:
Jodine Basterash, Marketing Domestic Violence Survivor & Advocate, Actress, Model, Mother, Grandmother, Spokesperson. Facilitator and Women Empowerment Speaker.
What do you love about being a woman?
The strength that we carry.
What do you hate about being a woman?
Menstrual Periods…lol.
Who influences you?
My children, domestic violence victims and survivors, and my own inner passion to fulfill and work my purpose in life.
Something about you that would surprise people?
People always tend to be shocked when they find out I’m a mother of 4, grandmother of 2 and a domestic violence survivor because I look younger than I am, and because I’m attractive, it’s hard for most people to phantom the thought of someone abusing me. The first comment said is, “How could someone abuse you? You’re so pretty.” But domestic violence is not prejudice.
