Black History Month Spotlight: Savannah Britt – Owner & Editor in Chief of Girlpez Magazine

savannah

Name and occupation?
Savannah Britt, owner and editor in chief of Girlpez Magazine (Youngest Magazine Publisher in the U.S.)

What do you love most about being a Black woman?
It’s not just inspiring to be a black woman, but I love knowing that I inspire other black women. I hope that my story empowers others.

Who or what inspires you?
My inspiration comes from the readers of my magazine. I get hundreds of emails every day from girls who are dealing with real problems and I am inspired by their stories, I am inspired to want to help them.

What advice do you have for other Black women or men?
My advice is that you inspire other black women and men but also expand far beyond that. I constantly stress to people that it’s important to reach people of all different walks of life. You never know who you’ll come in contact with and who you can positively affect.
