Ladies – you deserve a bit of pampering. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder we need to make sure that what is there to behold looks its best. A great way to do this is with some beauty treatments. Here are three beauty treatments every woman should try at least once.
There’s nothing like having a good facial. All facials are slightly different depending on the products used and the approach the therapist takes. Some facials include lymphatic drainage, pressing on the lymph nodes around the face and resulting in more clearly defined cheekbones. You will look as though you’ve lost a couple of pounds without actually going on a diet. Some facials use products to nourish the skin and leave it glowing while others exfoliate to leave new skin showing through underneath. And then there are related treatments, like getting your eyebrows plucked or waxed, or having your make-up professionally done to complete the beauty package. Not only do you feel pampered but you come out looking like a new woman and can do wonders for your self-esteem.
What’s so special about a bit of nail polish? Well, until you’ve tried it, it’s hard to explain just how good a manicure or pedicure feels. Whatever the allure, it feels absolutely wonderful when a therapist massages your nails while looking after your hands. The skin comes out much softer and you can top it off with some striking nail varnish that somehow just makes you feel all the more polished and together. The difference is even starker when it comes to a pedicure, especially if you go for one that includes having your legs soaked in paraffin wax, getting your feet massaged and of course having your skin softened and toned up. Our feet work very hard and a pedicure is a wonderful way to reward them – and yourself. It’s not unusual to come out feeling as though you’re walking on air.
Then there’s a massage or whole body treatment. There are lots of options to choose from here, from a regular massage, to a massage with hot stones or special oils, to a wrap or treatment with clay, herbs, oils or a mixture of the three. This is an excellent way to nourish your whole body from the outside (and if you’re at the spa you can usually get some decent internal nourishment as well). Healthy and relaxing to boot!
Finally, if your budget can run to it why not have the works? A manicure, pedicure, facial and massage will keep you feeling in tip top condition for days.
