What Your BFF Won’t Tell You, But You Need to Know!

Oh the joy of true friendship. Friends are there for us through thick and thin. They weather the storms of life and stand tall by our side. But there comes a time in any friendship when enough is enough. Your friend is too nice to tell you the truth but the reality is there are certain things they are sick of hearing about.

Sometimes when we use our friends for support, we end up sounding like a broken record. If years have gone by and you are still having the same conversations with your BFF’s then take a clue and be a good friend by breaking the pattern.

Here are the most common complaints from best friends about their best friends. And in the voice of your very own best friend.

We are sick of hearing about how bad your boyfriend treats you.

Speaking from the friend’s perspective: “We love you and we want what is best for you. That is why it kills us, literally puts us in misery to hear you choosing to stay in a relationship that is so bad for you. Ultimately only you can make your choices in life but we feel like you are making poor choices and don’t know how to stand up for yourself. We are sick of hearing about this guy, and how bad your relationship is. Do something about it finally, or stop talking to us about how bad it is. We can’t take it anymore.”

We are sick of hearing about how fat you are because you are not in the slightest.

Dear loved friend, “We care so much about you. And when we go out to eat we want to have fun, but you take out the fun when you pick at your food and talk down about yourself. We are really sick of you saying how much weight you have gained since high school. We have gained weight too but you don’t see or hear us complaining. It is part of life, and you my friend are not fat in the slightest. So what if you have gained some weight. The number on the scale does not define you. You are better then that and we are sick of you sounding like a broken record.”

We are sick of hearing how unhealthy you feel.

“Yes, we went out to happy hour with you yesterday and we were there when it turned into an all night booze celebration. We too feel like getting back in shape is in order but you don’t hear us complain about it. All you seem to talk about is how unhealthy you feel. But you aren’t doing anything about it. You complain about missing you doctor and dentist appointments but you don’t actually follow up there is a reason your dentist wants to see you; they can help you feel better and smile easier. Please for the love of god, stop complaining about how unhealthy you feel and go visit your dentist and doctor.
