Summer is probably the most exciting season and favourite of the year for many of us as it brings the perfect weather to enjoy a trip to the beach or a holiday in the sunshine. To ensure you make the most out of your summer vacation, here are five items you must include in your luggage to help you enjoy and relax!
1. Cool Shades
A summer outfit is never complete without a flattering pair of sunglasses. Not only do they provide you with a stylish summer look, they also shield your precious eyes from the harmful rays of the sun. Invest in polarized sunglasses to provide 100% protection against the sun’s UV rays; these now come in many different frames so you can be sure to find a pair to complement your features. Make sure that you get the perfect fit and great coverage for your eyes too when investing in a pair as stylish and functional sunglasses are our first essential accessory for your holiday trip.
For many, the summer is best spent under the sun. This is where all the summer activities take place…along with sun damage so make sure you bring the necessary creams and lotions to keep your skin protected and hydrated during the summer months. You can buy sun blocks with a high sun protection factor or SPF creams with lower levels of protection. There are creams, moisturizers and lotions that you can apply to your hair and skin too to keep them nourished and hydrated under the sun and you can even use make-up with a sun protection factor in it. Having these creams handy in your suitcase can let you enjoy the sun without having to worry about sunburn or other related problems after.
3. Sensible Shoes
High heels are flattering in women, but sadly are not the ideal footwear to bring to the beach! You can still find stylish footwear without a heel to complement your beach ensemble but not result in blisters and sore ankles! Your vacation is all about comfort so give your feet a well deserved rest too and wear comfortable footwear!
Your electronic equipment will eventually need charging. It’s advisable therefore to bring chargers and extra batteries with you during your trip. Also bring adaptors as the sockets, and even the voltage in other countries may be different from what you are using. A universal adaptor can allow you to recharge your devices when necessary in most countries so don’t forget to bring one as not being able to charge someone’s phone or iPod during your holiday may not be well received!
5. Sensible Clothes
When choosing what clothes to take with you be sensible and practical. You may encounter countries that are hot during the day and humid at night where light clothing is great. In this instance though, be prepared for mosquitoes and other insects and bring light jackets or cardigans to cover you at night to prevent you getting bitten. Other areas can be hot and sunny during the day but cold at night so make sure you have warm clothing available in addition to your day wear. Tropical countries have unpredictable weather so come prepared for everything if you are visiting one of these! Before travelling, check the weather forecast too as this can help you to guess what the weather’s going to be like and what to pack for the trip.
You want a holiday vacation to be fun and memorable and making sure that you prepare for your trip by remembering the above can really help to make the most out of your vacation.
