Now that it’s been a couple of months, us guys are finally safe to start talking about the movie we all had to take our significant others to see.
The Vow stars Channing Tatum with Rachel McAdams. It’s inspired by true events and is pretty much 50 first dates without the comedy. I don’t mind Rachel McAdams as an actress but Channing Tatum is hard to watch. Though his acting has improved, his performance in The Vow still comes up short.
Nothing exciting really happens in this film. It’s very predictable and if it was any longer than 104 minutes, it would have been too long. It’s your typical chick flick love story that makes girls cry. If you’re one of the few guys who didn’t have to take your loved one to see this film, then you’re lucky. However, if you’re feeling romantic and want to do something to earn some extra bonus points, watch it with her. She’ll enjoy it and I can promise that you will survive.
Just make sure she doesn’t start asking why you can’t be like that guy.
