Once upon a time I was the co-host of the #1 Comedy show on the Blog Talk Radio network, The Radio Happy Hour with Dr. Blogstein. An on air argument ended our working relationship, but since then we have made up and continue to be friends. Though we have never met, I love Dr. Blogstein and I really enjoyed being a part of The Radio Happy Hour every week. Dr. Blogstein is no longer on the internet airwaves, and he is sorely missed. Here’s what he’s up to these days…
Are you still known as Dr. Blogstein or are you simply David Brown?
Twitter is the last place where Dr. Blogstein lives on. It’s the only place left where I can be inappropriate and obnoxious with little consequence. Everywhere else, I’ve been stripped of my super powers and am only know as my Clark Kent persona.
What have you been up to since you left Blog Talk Radio?
I have not found another vehicle to filter my creativity through. Thoughts and jokes over 140 characters are all pent up inside, the rest I get out on twitter. I have been able to rejoin my Tuesday night softball league again and I do use the immense amount of time that I used to spend preparing for the Radio Happy Hour being more social and at the gym. I’ve probably become a more well-rounded person since ending the show.
Will you be returning to radio?
I think I would really like to under the right circumstances, with the right technology and the right compensation. I put too much hard work into it and was so good at it that I think I outgrew where I was but had no place else to go. If that place ever exists, I’d absolutely do it again. I loved it!
Do you miss me, Vinny, and the rest of the crew?
I miss everyone. Even Vinny. I have people who I consider friends and who are family that I speak to every few months or so but I spoke to you and Vinny, and then Burl and Collette for over an hour each week for over three years. Of course I miss that. It was a very special time.

In the meantime Alan, take Music On The Couch as your pet and promote it like crazy! LOL
Yes, it was fun and it will be even better if we are in the same room!
Damn, I miss this show with a passion! I too, hope we can all do it together again at some point in time! The reunion show was so much fun!
Hey, Alan! Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a wonderful comment.
…and Dr.Blogstein, Dangerous Lee, Vinny and the rest, we miss you to. You were all pioneers in helping us redefine “talk radio”. Hopefully down the road, we can provide you with a venue and platform that works for you and the crew.
Best,
Alan
